So over the weekend I met with a very nice lady by the name of Melissa, who is doing a research project at the University of Missouri, into why we are so obsessed with Twilight.

Well, it was cool and there were a few of us Twi-hards there. We discussed things like our favorite Twilight relationship and do we get haters because we love Twilight...etc..

We touched upon Twilight Denial. You all know what I'm talking about. Do you keep your obsession secret from certain groups or separate from other aspects of your life. Most of us do I believe. I don't hide it, I just don't always bring it up. I will admit to it if it comes up in convo, however.

My friend says that we are going to be part of some psychological research paper...but I don't think so. It would be funny though to see this article published in Psychology Today "The Twilight Phenomenon, and the Women Who Live it", or "Twi-freaks Uncovered!" or some such nonsense.

I trust Melissa, though, I think we will be okay! And if not, hey we had free cookies!!

This is for all my non-Twilight friends and family members. I have decided to decipher some of the most common verbiage in the Twilight universe. (Which you probably didn't even know existed! But I won't let it bring me down!)

These are some the terms I will be using:

RPattz= Rob Pattinson
KStew= Kristin Stewart
Movie Edward= Rob's part in Twilight

And there goes Swifty! (We're off...??):

Twi-hard: anyone who can or will not live without Twilight. As in, OME she is such a Twi-hard fan!

Which brings us to OME, in case you can't figure it out yourself, this is Oh My Edward..seriously? You couldn't get that one?? :)

Twi-polar: I think I may have mentioned this one previously. It is the extreme and often sudden, emotional ups and downs caused by the lack of anything Twilight, Edwardian, or RPattz related.

Twicrack: I have to give credit for this one to http://twicrackaddict.blogspot.com/. Twicrack is anything related to Twilight. We feed on it like crack and cannot live without it, like junkies. So there you have it, Twicrack!

Edwardian: I made this word up myself and I like this one very much! (you know that it is already a word with another meaning, right??) It is anything that Movie Edward might say or do. For example: If you said, "Bella, you're soo absurd"...That would be very Edwardian...or "HI" that too would be Edwardian....:)

P.S. If you don't get the references maybe you should go watch the movie then come back and see us!

What is your favorite part??

This is a game we like to play in my family. After we see a movie or read a book we always ask "What's your favorite part?"

I will start off with Twilight, the movie. My favorite part is when they're in the greenhouse and Bella says, "you don't even say hi to me", and Edward has his really big movie line here...wait for it.........

I love that part! He is just so eloquent!

My second favorite part, because I love it when Edward smiles, and he does it sooooo rarely, is in his bedroom when B says "I'm not afraid of you", and Edward says "Well, you really shouldn't have said that" and he pulls out this sh*t eatin grin.. OME.....I melt every single time.....

Now, Twilight the book is something different. My favorite part of the book is, of course, blood typing. There is just something to be said about a man rescuing a damsel in distress.. I love it when he wants to murder Mike for thinking he may have hurt Bella. I love it even more that she just wants to curl up and die when she hears his voice as she lies facedown on the sidewalk! And the best part, is when he scoops her up in his arms like a little rag doll!! Oh How I wish this part had made the movie!!!

I am sure I have many, many, many, more favorite parts, but I don't want to just reiterate the entire book here! So, please, tell me your favorite parts!

Well as some of you may know..Edward likes to get his drink on. He can't really eat, but drinking seems to suit him. His favorite is the blue lemonade recipe on the UV label.

Please! No pictures! Bella doesn't like me to drink!

I love this vodka more than Bella!!Ooooohhhh so good!

So, anyway, I come home and Edward is gone. I find the empty vodka bottle and wonder what happened?? I start just... freaking out! Where is Edward, where could he have gone? Well, apparently he must have gotten the munchies after drinking. Drinking will do that sometimes. Well..he decided to go hunting.

Edward's New Hampshire visit continued..

Here's a little backstory: For those of you that do not know, our house is on the New Hampshire border. Edward had been visiting with us. How long you ask? For awhile. :)

He had been visiting, because he wanted to check on his house. You must know he owns a home near Dartmouth College in NH, where he and Bella had planned to attend prior to their "unforeseen circumstances" arising. (I don't want to spoil anything here!)

Anyway, he went hunting with some buddies of his that came down from Denali, who took these pics:

OME!! I dreamt of RPattz last night! Weird, I know! Considering how obsessed I am, how I spend every minute looking at Twi-crack and Rob-Porn, reading and re-reading the Twilight Saga, searching the internet for anything Twilight or RPattz related....yeah big surprise right? I guess the big surprise is that it took this long! I just wish I could remember what the dream was about!

This is how pathetic it is.. I wake up and realize OME, I just dreamed of RPattz, and the first thing that comes into my head is the line "and that was the first night I dreamt of Edward Cullen". In the middle of the night, half asleep, and my brain is STILL tuned in to Twilight....

WOW.....OCD does not even cover it!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I need help. I am trying to decide which convention to attend, if at all. Here are the options. I can either take a trip to Forks and wander around and see the sights, or take the Forks trip offered by Fantrips.travel, or go to a convention. There is Twi-Con in July 2009 or the other convention by Creation entertainment called Twi-Tour, a salute to Twilight. I can only do one, so I am trying to choose the best option. The conventions offer meeting of the cast so I'm thinking that is better, but I'm not sure if you really get what they promise you.

I have never been to a convention so I don't know if it's worth it to attend. Does anyone have any advice??

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

So this one time, at band camp...no wait wrong movie! So one time (well lots of times really, but we won't talk about that now!) I went to see Twilight without my niece Aurora. (You saw her pic in my last post. ) Well, she kinda had a meltdown. She freaked out and left me some nice little notes. Just in case I was thinking of leaving her home the next time. Which I did, but again, we won't talk about that now!! :)

So this is how it all began..I went to the movies without her, here's the evidence of my disloyalty..

You'll note I was so upset that I forgot to take Aurora with me that I could not finish my popcorn or my M&M's! (That's my Eclipse to read while waiting for the movie to start..sad..sad.. yes I know!)

So my niece, Aurora and I have a sickness. It is all Movie Edward's fault! Damn him!! (No, we could never!! We love him too much!) We are sick, but at least now we can name our illness.

He is very upset. He cannot believe this turn of events. LOOK AT HIM! He is shocked..... Look at him , look at him!! (this must be spoken in an British accent) He cannot hide his dismay. Such depth of emotion..

For those of you who do not know this, Original Movie Edward was played by Johnny Depp. Well, the reigning king has been de-throned. JD has been my love for about 5 years, that was until Edward came along and all hell broke loose! I still love Johnny, but Movie Edward holds my heart. My love for Johnny is more like a Jacob kinda love now. I know, I know, it's all very sad to me too.

Okay, so just some background on why I started this blog.
Live free and Twi-hard is a shout out to all the naysayers who think I should "get my head out of the Twilight". It is dedicated to everyone whose families/friends/associates----everyone in general in the world---, have told them this at one time or another. I say you gotta live free, and Twi-hard!!!
